Thursday 13th December

On Thursday, December 13, it was the first day of the meeting and we began with a detailed presentation by the coordinator, MAD for Europe, of everything that was done in the first year of the project.

All the activities were presented, giving a big importance to the performance of the tests in the schools. Among the proposed objectives, all the required ones were achieved: First Meeting in Malta, Project brochure, completion of the Joint Document, creation of the website and social networks, Training Event in Italy, testing of the students...

After this, each partner gave a presentation on the realization of the tests in their schools explaining the experience of the students and teachers. Each one presented in several graphs of the results obtained. Once all was shown, we all made a comparison of each country analyzing the reasons for the answers depending on the regions. This analysis was very productive because there were questions whose results were very different and will be important when the partners teach the modules to the students in the second year of the project. In addition, each partner distributed the tests to the coordinators to collect them all, and also the expenses of the first year.

After these presentations, MAD for Europe, presented the following tasks that have to be done in the second year of the project. The most important was the method to teach the classes in January 2019 to the students and the Joint Document.

Later, we had a social meal in a restaurant in the town of Benavente, where all the members attended.

After the meal, all the members went to a class of the School of Benavente and we presented the project to the students. We asked them about the idea of the project and if they liked it because they will assist to the explanation of the modules in the classes. Later, we showed them a video and they told us their opinion after seeing it. Also, we did two games in which everyone participated by going to the board and saying what they thought about gender violence in young people. It was a very enriching session.

To end the day of the first day, we met again all partners in a room and, with a Power point presentation, we discussed part by part the Joint Document, analyzing everything in detail.

Friday 14th December

On the second day of the Meeting, December 14, the Joint Document was reviewed again and, after some change, the final version was approved.

To conclude the day, the coordinator wrote on a blackboard all the dates and final tasks of the Second Year and resolved the doubts that the partners had. The final dates of the next and last Meeting in Madrid were also decided: September 2019. Finally, the evaluation of the meeting that all the participants filled out was distributed.

After finishing the meeting, the partners from Portugal made a cultural visit to Benavente. First, we went to the City Hall where the Mayor received us and we presented the project. Afterwards, they took us through the region of Benavente in a bus and we ended up in the center of the city where we visited a istory museum and, in the main square, we had the Certificate Ceremony.

This second Meeting has been very productive because all the expected objectives have been achieved and there has been good communication between all the partners. In addition, thanks to all the activities carried out during the first year, they have seen very good results and very well achieved, motivating all the partners to continue with it in the Second Year.
